hi there,   i want create pdf document.   i'm working images in photoshop, , doing page layout in indesign.   the document setup confusing me, in id - because i'm not doing 'print' speak, it's hard work out pixel dimensions.this screen document, i'll never print it.   i tried using pixel millimeters converter (no idea picas , points are), , punched number document. then, when export out file - document of expected size - 1280 x 900, @ least thats want now. fine.   but then, confusing thing is... when creating images in photoshop - larger expected document size. around 3000 x 2000 pixels... yet when 'place' command in indesign, images incredibly small.much smaller should be. given final output size of pdf document is.   i'm sure going smoother process in cs5, because things have sure changed lot in last few years regard design. program more 'screen design' centric.   but in case, can me figure out how head around these issues, @ least before c...

hey everyone. ok upgraded 9.10 10.04. i've done both upgrade , clean install , results same. after desktop effects enabled, effects don't appear "smooth". example, desktop cube , expo appear rather choppy. i've installed , activated recommended nvidia driver, , still same. compiz benchmark reaches 30fps. in 9.10 wasn't issue @ all. desktop effects smooth, when playing videos. i'm using geforce 9500gt, on 64-bit version of ubuntu. mentioned, previous releases weren't issue @ all. idea can start this. i've done usual "sync vblank" etc etc well. thanks cameron. are seeing tearing or framerate low? i'm not sure if question goes here or in security forum - best guess is more administration security. i have set joomla 1.5.9 successfully; authenticates users against openldap backend. have couple other sites use same backend. these other sites use http basic authentication (and apache's mod_authnz_ldap). as result, visitors site form-based logon joomla, , have retype same user name , password http authentication dialog. the same joomla site supports anonymous users, cannot use http basic auth joomla itself. is there way automatically pass user name , password http authentication somehow? not want put password link (since make password visible). other that, i'm not concerned security (the whole site running ssl). thanks! hi, setup ubuntu dual boot vista, , used gparted modify existing partitions, , create new 1 data ubuntu. after partitioning everything, i've ran 2 issues. first, new partition can accessed sudo (i think that's it's called) permission. i'd change this, considering it's blank space , nothing valuable in it. found out because can't copy onto new drive cause says don't have permission. second, , less important, boot menu lists twice. before partitioning, listed once. i'd fix issue, it's not negatively effecting anything appreciated attached images gparted.png (117.9 kb, 10 views) can post copy of /boot/grub/menu.lst file? hi,   i'm using javascript adobe acrobat 9.  in program, i'll attaching already-existing text field , take action (display something) based on user's cursor @ in text field.  text in text field larger size of text box have deal fact text scrolled.   in case, there way line number cursor situated @ in text field?  if text wasn't scrollable, presume cusor (mouse) x-y position, , figure out line number associated cursor's position.  but, alas, text scrollable.   if line number (where cursor at) isn't available, still figure things out if knew how many lines text had been scrolled.  take x-y position of mouse , figure out line of text must on based on amount of scrolling that's occurred.   so, happy either:     1. way figure out line number cursor situated in text box.   2. way know how many lines of text have been scrolled.   thanks anyone's help!   dave More discussions in Acrobat SDK adobe

hello, having problem project school.   in video making, need add animation on live video. example, in 1 scene, have videotaped myself running. now, want add picture of ghost chasing me. both layers moving. question is, can in flash? have not used flash before , if complicated, rather not try. i've talked friends have used flash before , perfect program need while others claim either not able it, or hard to.   is flash suitable needs? if not, there program is?   thank you there's no judging might complicated you.  best bet try , see.  can trial version of flash, import video it, , see takes add in animation few frames or so.  within hour might have idea if within measure of complication.
