Using Joomla to set Basic Auth user/password? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
i'm not sure if question goes here or in security forum - best guess is more administration security.
i have set joomla 1.5.9 successfully; authenticates users against openldap backend. have couple other sites use same backend. these other sites use http basic authentication (and apache's mod_authnz_ldap).
as result, visitors site form-based logon joomla, , have retype same user name , password http authentication dialog.
the same joomla site supports anonymous users, cannot use http basic auth joomla itself.
is there way automatically pass user name , password http authentication somehow? not want put password link (since make password visible). other that, i'm not concerned security (the whole site running ssl).
thanks!
