hi   i running 550gb external hd time machine.  have received message saying time machine (tm) cannot backup there not enough room left on hd.   firstly, though set automatically erase oldest file first make space whenever happened, doesn't appear happening. went in tm manually , selected oldest 2 months backups , put them in trash.    first of takes ever 'prepare files deletion'  , when starts 'trash' files takes ages , gives ghost! there 900.000 files empty, sat there watching each file delete 1 one , freezes , stops!   any suggestions on how can overcome please?   many thanks the thing helped me time machine (and shouldn't asked or answered here since adobe forum , not mac osx forum) selective in backing it.   for instance, go through 10 20 gigs week in downloads folder. download or save (no matter ends up) lands there hour, or day sometimes. delete things in there because realize didn't need them after all. other times i'll burn content...

hi all,   we have problem again right click not working.  we're using captivate 4, publishing flash 10.  works ok in preview, not in browser preview, or when running published version on server.   i've checked trusted folders, , local folders included.   it didn't work in flash 9 either.  tried changing actionscript 3, no avail.   help, please!  client has uploaded them lms , people have started using them.  plus need them able run them domain on website.   i'm posting new discussion, because doesn't seem fall under ones solved trusted folders.   thanks help... hi forum! ok, i've got little problem. 'assembled' new computer yesterday , first thoughts install lucid on it. have on both old desktop & laptop (installed usb). new machine wouldn't let me boot usb (mobo didn't want me to/let me) made cd , booted/installed that. everything's great, ran , after nvidia drivers gpu came alive! i'm testing of basics out , 1 , (so far) problem 10.04 . i'm running both hdd && dvd rw on sata (via mobo). hdd great. dvd rw mounts media, including cd's , dvd's when play cd (in vlc or rhythmbox), consistent pause every 2 or seconds in playback. tried playing dvd , got i/o error (in totem). (note: installed os dvd drive, works) thinking dma, apparently doesn't/shouldn't apply sata. hdparm doesn't allow changing of value. both sata devices on 'master' channel (3 & 2 respectively). bios doesn't allow heaps of changes: gigabyte ma78lmt-s2 (revisio...

i installed ubuntu 10.04 today (hint: i'm noob @ this), , having problems connecting wireless network. wireless use cradlepoint ctr350 no security, can connect no problem must type in password in actual web browser surf. wireless on computer not connect this, though recognizes exists (i'm using belkin wireless g desktop card). however, when click on neighbor's wireless, netgear, computer has no trouble connecting , surfs internet fine. reason don't because house far away , network patchy, need own network work. can't figure out why particular internet doesn't work, since doesn't seem driver problem (as works in other cases, although have not tried install ndiswrapper yet, i'll next). not wireless problem, ctr signal works great on other computers (running mac os x) in house. thoughts? hallo! habe ein problem mit joomla. und zwar braucht die seite furchtbar lange um zu laden! das längste ich hatte waren 4(!!!) minuten! und das bei einer 16.000er verbindung! ich hab schon die sufu benutzt, und das ausprobiert, mit module und plugins deaktivieren... aber das klappt nur bedingt! danach lädt die seite zwar wieder schnell, aber sobald ich auch nur ein modul/plugin wieder aktiviere, braucht sie wieder lange! und danach wird sie immer langsamer wenn ich nach und nach alles andere wieder aktiviere. ich hab aber ned viele plugins/module drinn als das die masse der grund sein könnte.... achja hier die seite: http://www.gregorian-music.com/gregorian/joomla/ wäre schön wenn ihr mir tipps geben könntet woran das liegen könnte... server kanns ned liegen, weil wenn man über die aktuell öffentliche seite reingeht klappt alles wunderbar: http://www.gregorian-music.com installier dir den firebug für firefox. dann siehst du genau, wo die zeit bleibt. auf den ersten blick sind etliche...

hey ubuntu users! made switch linux vista (ughh) , familiar unix operating systems (other computer mac) though still extremely new finding huge parts of operating system. anyway ubuntu far has been great except 1 thing, sound. using hp pavillion dv4 , when first installed 9.04 audio able receive headphones. checked volume not muted, , wasn't, found curious. when use vista, computers buttons volume control change color indicate muted or un-muted , have touch sensor turning volume or down. of ubuntu reconizing changing of these buttons (when push mute button shows muted) touch button still orange not blue (it changes blue when not muted). how fix things appreciated. (also horrible speller, spell check stopped checking not half way through, sorry that ) -designateduser you need make sure audio drivers speakers installed.
