i have asus u50f laptop , having trouble getting headphones jack sense work. i've used karmic & lynx , both have issue. tried 10.10 alpha, seems use newer driver has few more options in alsamixer previous (no headphone switch though) didn't fix issue. i've tried few of snd-hda-intel, options without success: - asus - asus-laptop - auto - 3stack - 6stack - laptop headphones work, don't mute internal speakers. driver windows 7 (which has same issue unless uses asus' drivers) labels "conexant cocoa ii high definition smartaudio". post command , i'll information needed. reason being i'm not familiar various commands hw output. thanks! not sure post this, i'll start here. built site on pc using wamp. provider our company had never hosted joomla before, setup server purpose , gave me bogus address (pauli.nethopper.net) use address work on over internet , others see development of site went on. now need live (should have been working on 12 hours ago). said simple change , domain resolved. it's supposed www.communityshoppers.com , when go online check it, shows our old website, not new one. shows new one, old one. every time checks, it's showing new 1 on end, thinks there's no problem, or thinks there's problem joomla. don't think joomla has problem @ all, think it's hosts problem. does have idea how fix this? joomla install on same physical machine, needs www.communityshoppers.com instead of pauli.nethopper.net this such serious bummer. try , force refresh browser cache. hi, wife's laptop dual booting fine vista (factory installed) , ubuntu (installed off dvd). hadn't touched vista months, don't know when problem first happened. when select vista partition grub menu computer not boot. black screen blinking cursor in top left of screen. ubuntu boots fine. in grub menu various ubuntu kernels , recovery modes each, mem tests, , @ bottom vista partition , vista recovery partition. i've searched forums solutions can't find specific our set of circumstances. threads can find on subject either boot configurations totally different, use different oses, different numbers of drives, different drive/parition configurations, error occurs @ different stage of "bootability", or completey different boot error, etc... or solution not work. there way fix or find out problem is? running vista recovery partition repair non-booting vista destroy grub , lose our ubuntu install? please help. ...

we have web application has menu option opens acrobat file on web server.  acrobat file has bookmarks in file open actions other pdf files on same web server.  of paths c:\inetpub\wwwroot\[appname]....   these bookmarks worked fine until upgraded acrobat 8.  when open file web app, file open action path changes c:\documents , settings\[myname]\local settings\etc...  in other words, used go ahead , open file if local web server, appears looking in default file open folder.   are there settings can change in acrobat 8 fix this?   all/any appreciated!! someone unplugged our 10.04 server last night , won't boot. running samba fileserver , zimbra mailserver on virtual machine. i'd set , don't have backup yet. linux pretty new me i'm in bit of panic. far i've tried booting cd , seem able mount md0 drive whilst running in rescue mode. i've tried "apt-get update" , "apt-get -f install" (i figure should naming package "apt-get install" anything). i've tried running "apt-get check" doesn't list broken dependancies. think i'm try using re-install grub loader i'm worried overwrite data on md0 drive (that's software raid drive system boots from). i'm not sure had grub running first place. pointers, suggestions or words of encouragement appreciated. in advance, aidan you want check filesystem integrity of raid unit. i have hp laserjet new software. scan directly adobe acrobat 9.3.1 (windows 7, 64 bit). scanner can find in dropdown wia. not see twain driver - though can scan twain driver in hp scanning application. problem experiencing when scan directly acrobat (using dropdown available - wia - ) scan "legal size" , not "letter size." option paper size select paper size automatically.   i able scan directly acrobat , have letter size documents appear letter size documents. please help. check defaults in scanner. acrobat provides interface scanner settings. defaults , such property of scanner.
