Thread: Fujitsu Simens T4010D Wacom pen doesn't work until i restart X

hi all.
have problem tablet. in order pen work have restart x. each time i'm restarting x pen works absolutely fine never after fresh boot up. part of x.log says can't initialize wacom device while seems work right in example of x.log after restarting x.

had same problem, in ubuntu 9.04 , in xubuntu 9.10. after reading lot, decided modify 10-linuxwacom.fdi serial tablets provided favux @ end of post (favux_serial-tablet&tablet-pc_test2_10-wacom.fdi.txt).

add following line:

<append key="wacom.types" type="strlist">stylus</append>

before:

<append key="wacom.types" type="strlist">eraser</append>
<append key="wacom.types" type="strlist">cursor</append>

now, stylus works without restarting x , "xsetwacom list" command returns "stylus stylus" only, after restarting x (it used show both stylus , eraser after restarting x).
