first off i'd new whole world of linux os. installed ubuntu 10.04 on computer other day. proved challenge @ first managed work way through problems. firstly managed install world of warcraft, , works, sort of works lol, thats part of problem. after had installed wow ran program, able log in, found lot of objects in game weren't being rendered, i.e. characters, mounts, etc. of terrain rendering though. fps extremely low, 3-4 fps, in past computer ran 60-70 fps no problem, windows xp. first off tried restarting computer see if work, no luck. started little research... found should see if video card rendering tried: glxinfo | grep rendering and received response: direct rendering: yes i did a: lspci | grep vga to make sure video card being recognized, , being seen radeon x1900, in reality x1950, dont if thats issue. found forums mentioning envy, found no longer being supported ubuntu, , not sure if ati catalyst drivers provided linux work...

after ran code: sudo scrub -x /erase , showed had "finished" disk full ran code: sudo rm -rf /erase , had disk space back. closed terminal , after 30 seconds hard drive pegged again. tried @ processes in system monitor ssd pegged couldn't open anything...so rebooted. came right up, , got speed on ssd (17mbps actually) have 15gb worth of data usage cannot find. i've got data backed up, , don't mind reinstalling, im sure simple , im missing something. can see, numbers don't add total usage being reported. hi -   i've encountered odd problem, , windering if else has seen it.  system: win 7 64 prod premium cs4   when dynamic linking sequence pr encore, rendered sequence has few seconds image moved 1/3 of frame right , down. 5a few seconds out of 60 minute project) see in encore monitor window , on burned dvd. sequence in pr looks fine, , renders out fine premiere.  it's when dynamically linked happens.   it has happened on 2 different projects, each time 5 10 seconds. way solve problem render out problem bit premiere, drop new footage in same position in sequence.   encore clealy not reading correctly.  problem areas don't correspond clips in sequence, though, go across clips.   what odd 1 project cineform 1920x1080 25p, , other project hdv 50i.  encore project pal dvd in both cases.   i have tried see 2 problem bits did have in common, , these things:   they both nested sequences, nested more once. both had fast blur effect appli...

ubuntu 10.04 lts (updated) when want submit simple form username & password in internet, browser (i tested in firefox , chrome) gone waiting , status bar it: code: "waiting 217.219.104.5..." i have been having on/off problem.  when occurs, unable watch videos hulu.  screen black instead of show should playing.  yesterday watching show via hulu , fine until half-way through went dark.  did 7 times throughout show.  annoying.  have hp laptop, windows vista, , use firefox.  have recent version of flash.  have no idea problem is, since works fine.  me please! i don't know if help, first try increase local storage settings on http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager.html More discussions in Using Flash Player adobe
