Thread: How to Restore Normal Dual-Boot with Win7: No DVD Drive
(this part deleted confusion)
edit: have sony vaio fj170 laptop phoenix bios version r0060x6 & broken dvd drive. bios doesn't support booting usb (it have 'external drive boot' option, usb stick doesn't listed under boot devices in bios when connected laptop).
few days ago upgraded windows7, installed lucid through wubi. of thread of mine (here), changed default boot option & timeout of windows 0 directly boot ubuntu. far good. tried windows reason not succeed f8 key no longer brings window's advance boot menu. (here's suggested solution problem, don't have working dvd drive implement it!)
there way restore dual boot menu timeout windows installation. or better, there way make fresh install of windows & ubuntu side-by-side without dvd drive.
please mind 14 , absolutely new linux. network booting methods given on internet complex me understand. ubuntu need windows programming c++ & photoshop cs4.
