hi, have hp pavilion core i7 processor , nvidia gts 250 graphics card year old. want to put ubuntu or linux distro on it. works fine when run 64 bit ubuntu 10.04 off live cd or through wubi 1 exception. when first booting fan (the cpu fan assume or maybe the graphics card fan? ) goes full blast slows down when boot windows. when booting linux though fan keeps going @ full blast after ubuntu , running , quite annoying. i have tinyusb dvb tuner gets recognized twinhan vp7045 (which believe is) , works well. contains infrared receiver remote control believe acts usb hid keyboard. means when press button on remote sends keypress computer. have set file ~.xmodmap, contains definitions remap 2 of remote buttons useful keypresses in kaffeine (mute , play/pause). code keycode 127 = space keycode 231 = u has been working in kubuntu hardy last couple of years. switched ubuntu lucid, , works fine if boot computer usb tuner plugged in, if unplug , plug in again pause , mute buttons stop working (the right , left arrow buttons on remote (which not in ~.xmodmap) still work. 'xmodmap -pke' still shows correct definitions above. xev register keypress both pause , mute buttons before , after unplugging , replugging, before shows space , u, after doesn't. i need solution allow users log in joomla site, , doing automatically logged in sharepoint site uses basic www-authentication. i'm thinking along lines of ajax object calls sharepoint service, receives authentication request, submits credentisals (all 'behind scenes') , logs user in/sets session coockie sharepoint site. hi, i'm member of camera club have regular photo competitions. have several divisions (travel, nature etc) , each division members submit several photos throughout year , keep track of total scores etc. people have been doing "manually" in excel till now. i'm wondering though if there's joomla extension used manage more efficiently. division directors should able enter scores online , tool update statistics , display them on our website. can recommend extension purpose? thanks in advance, paul hi, anyone have suggestion? thanks, paul Board index Joomla! i've been approached current project needs run cd , write data (bookmarking) hard drive. been told file still launch html document , not air. orginally had built in air, no problem writing data. remembered thought sharedobject not sound right writing out data. xml file building student login.   since can't use air there function knows writing file location on hard drive?   time pressing on one. have have answer morning. thanks absent air, must use sharedobject.  it's security issue otherwise. elements 7 user. when converting jpeg files psd files in editor takes 40-45 seconds. normal? my pc meets photoshops minimum requirements i.e 1gb ram , 2ghz processor speed. if jpeg psd conversion takes longer normal increasing ram 2gb speed things up? thoughts be appreciated. nikclick >would increasing ram 2gb speed things up?   yes. defragging , running disk cleanup help. i using robohelp 8 html publish webhelp pro/enterprise (or whatever they're calling today) robohelp 8 server. i've published several projects. however, 2 of projects i've published not show me topics. can see toc in toc pane, when click on topic, message " http status 404 - /robohelp/robo/server/general" , message "the requested resource (/robohelp/robo/server/general/) not available."   but projects have been published. why these 2 fail? able publish project after publishing these two. deleted them server , republished i'm still getting same error. hi jbroggi,   did check projects folder in robohelp server directory if topics published or not?   regards tulika More discussions in RoboServer adobe
