i have portable 320 gb usb hp simplesave external hard drive, , want install ubuntu 10.04 desktop use on both of computers when windows letting me down. last time tried install 10.04 week after came out, presented tons of errors, though did same exact way did 9.10 worked. on subject of installing them on usb hard drives. time, it's grub being antsy it's installed. if don't change install grub, won't let me boot on other computer, or usb port. in advance. http://bit.ly/dbmedc you have install grub2 mbr of ext hdd if want move around , boot computers without too. click advanced button @ last installer screen, , tell install usb hdd, example /dev/sdb if that's device name of usb hdd. , of course computer want use on has able boot usb. hi all   new forum , flash have managed create short animated movie - unfortunatly duration of movie made 10 fps , last 29 seconds (290 frames in total) when test movie plays 36 seconds. body know why happening.   cheers help there can variations in frame rate depending on processing demands of animations. don't know of ready-made fix this, else might.  might try up-ing fps 11 , see how plays out if time critical.  may want try on different machines well. hello all, have installed ubuntu 10.4 on brand new acer aspire 8942g. @ beginning looked fine. sound worked well, until plugged headphone / microphone. mic dead , headphones did not react. searched www, , found https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...er/+bug/549514 (the last comment mine) installed linux-alsa.modules (from alsa dev source) , microphone , headphonejack worked finally. problem is, headphones seems mute 2 of 6 speakers inside laptop. other still plays sound if headphone plugged in. did not find useful information solve issue. thing observe, alsa mixer has pcm / headphone , speaker leveler, pcm controls speaker , phones, while phones controls speaker , phones. speakerleveler ist without function. know aspire has alc 680 chipset inside (or 670?) question is, there possiblity configure alsa way, uses 2 frontspeakers, ignoring "others". useful workaround, "deactivate" speakers except of "left/right" ...

several months ago bought new high capacity drive our mac server. ever since takes forever save photoshop document our server. once saved first time (save as), doing subsequent saves takes no time. there doesn't appear wrong new server drive (all other files save fine on it, although co-worker says saving indesign files slow well, don't experience that).   we're using cs3, running mac os 10.5.8.   any ideas? @ our wit's end. save local drive , then move server. this not personal choice adobe's recommendation. chaps, 1 has me worried. i'm using lappie, , have (literally, just) had message in top right hand corner of screen saying "another user controlling desktop" - sort of message shows when user remote desktops machine. snag that, while machine set allow remote access without giving permission, there no-one else on either of other 2 machines @ moment. all of sudden, can't watch videos hulu.  kind of rarity before, can't @ all.  i'm on firefox , use windows vista.  keep seeing flash supposed located in  c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash.  mine not.  located in c:\swsetup\mmflash\.  well, realized that's older version, don't know new 1 is.  have uninstalled flash using ininstaller adobe's website twice , reinstalled twice, , nothing has changed.  pressed show details button on uninstaller , said dekete fromn folder flash supposed located in, said folder not exist on computer.  thing have flash , work not when want watch videos.  please! i went different route windows/syswow64/macromed/flash , found lot more files in there.  files said date created today, make sense because reinstalled flash today, files said created 1/26.  if deleted, should not have been created on date.  hope information may me.  thanks! how far ati supported kernel open source driver...? know radeon x1950 works fine hd models 2600pro , 3650? as far hd 4xxx - 2d acceleration , limited 3d acceleration. limited features, not proprietary drivers (the linux ones) can top this. they're worse everyday usage (can't se refresh rate right) yet better 3d applications games - if aim, better remove linux equation (at least now). so installed 10.04 , went rather smoothly. after signing in "utility bars" @ top & bottom of screen not appearing , clicking in areas nothing. mouse moves smoothly, , still able click normal, see cursor , background. nothing else. lil help? in advance, george could try killing panels. they'll "respawn" right away when that. applications > accessories > terminal. click on terminal. in terminal window opens, type : killall gnome-panel , hit enter. top , bottom panels may "respawn", reappear, think of it. i must have wrong, i'm trying mount, in fstab, ntfs hard drive following entry... code: uuid=90f451d9f451c260 /media/backup ntfs-3g defaults,locale=en_us.utf8,umask=0 0 0 and when check ls -alf, see belongs root:root, full permissions. however, when try change file permissions sudo chmod, nothing happens. next checked how drive mounted "mount" , saw following... code: /dev/sdb1 on /media/backup type fuseblk (rw,nosuid,nodev,allow_other,blksize=4096,default_permissions) also, i'm not sure how describe best, when @ files in /media/backup directory ls -alf, of sub-directories highlighted in green. other drive, sub-directories in blue letters (even if belong root:root). issue ntfs mount, or way i've mounted drive? thanks, brian nevermind... according ntfs-3g manual @ tuxera... http://www.tuxera.com/community/ntfs-3g-manual/ by default,...

while installed software source @ ubuntu 10.04, "gl/glut.h: no such file or directory" appeared in config.log 'ubuntu package search' found 2 packages containing 'gl/glut.h' (libfltk1.1-dev , freeglut3-dev) installing 'libfltk1.1-dev' not remove error message. installing 'freeglut3-dev' removed error message gave new error message of "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lglut32" unfortunately, googling didn't this. suggestion? what software did install? السلام عليكم نحن نعلم أنه في جملة هناك القسم الذي يتفرع منه أقسام فرعية والذ بدوره كل قسم فرعي يحتوي العديد من المقالات وهي بنية يمكن أن نسميها شجرية يمثل القسم جذع الشجرة الذي يتفرع منه عددا من الأغصان (الأقسام الفرعية) وتتوضع الأوراق (المقالات) على هذه الأغصان. السؤال هو : أنا بحاجة إلى عدد من التفرعات أكبر أي وجود أقسام فرعية ضمن أقسام فرعية رئيسية وفيه تتوضع المقالات . إذا كان بالإمكان أن يساعدني أحد كيف يمكنني تحقيق ذلك؟ وشكرا لكم طبعا اخي الكريم دائما في وجود مشكلة كهذه عليك بالتفكير في الطريقة المثلى لعمل تطبيقك هذا يعني مثلا ان توجد اكثر من قائمة بدلا من البحث عن فروع للفروع التي تعقد طريقة الوصول الى المحتوى اتمنى لك التوفيق Board index Joomla! our adobe acrobat connect pro server showing old captivate-created content 4-6 weeks ago.   i loaded 35+ sets of captivate 3 (scorm 1.2, html, zipped) content onto our acrobat connect pro lms 6 weeks ago. i converted training content captivate 3.0.1 4.0.1, 4 weeks ago opening each file in captivate 4 , following prompts "save as" new files different file names. i reloaded content 4 weeks ago, , again 2 weeks ago. i reloaded half of content again last week. end user acceptance testing performed week showed of courses showing old content, ranging 2-6 weeks old   attempted fixes , workarounds: deleting content entirely , reloaded scratch - not work long term, lose usage data each time reload new files. contacted adobe, provided times track incidents of issue.  reached tier 2 - told our problem , appeared working fine side. new workaround - load new content , reattach course new content.  presents same long term issue first workaround, enables retain older versions of co...
