hello, long time reader, first time poster appear have both grubs installed under /boot/grub have both menu.lst , grub.cfg im booting fine, can update-grub fine, issue can't remove old kernels , update correct grub menu.lst doesn't show old kernel can assume im booting grub2 can update-grub grub(1) ideas? it's minor issue i'm worried have wider consequences in time many thanks naz uninstall grub legacy reinstall grub2 fix grub legacy removed. won't change bootloader called mbr. i had targus usb hub, , wanted test if worked. didn't, after figured out disappointed. had plugged 2 usb flash drives it. 1 32gb flash drive, average 2gb. noticed small 1 had it's plastic casing melted. frantically pulled both of them out, late, both usb devices seem fried, there no response either. freed both casing, , still don't work. how can save devices? you can save future devices not using hub again. there's not can ones fried. maybe electronics expertise identify damaged components , if can replaced. don't hopes up.
