css font size also changes in wrong div

i changed font size of "a" tags in footer div via css, , chaged expected them to, (not all) "a" tags changed in div (content_2pad). have no idea why. size of hover size it's supposed be, text moves around on hover, in places. in places, stayed correct size. don't it. can point me in direction have gratitude.

by way, headers , footers totally broken in ie6, please @ in ff or ie7 (using fixed divs).

i don't see difference between footer links , content area on
the right or on menu on left on other pages... link purple
and changes black/underlined when hovered. no change in font size (no
jumping there if font resizing on hover). link font
is little larger in content area, i'd worried if
small in footer, terribly difficult read (as on
the menu on gallery page example.

if i"m off base, please explain should seeing or not seeing :-)
