got ubuntu (10.04 lts) working (seemingly) fine on macbook parallels 4.0, no problems there. installed wine (1.1.42) , subsequently tried install windows program wish use cd. main issue seems come of tutorials online select executable file application disk wine use. on disk however, there appear many different executable files. picked 1 word "startup" in see happen, , went thru bunch of steps if installing software, software never worked, kind of expected. uninstalled , looked information on trying use disks autorun wine on ubuntu, @ least view can figure out, realize don't know whats going on or now. i've tried going thru different terminal commands other tutorial sites, , i'm ok that, enough follow directions, hasn't gotten me anywhere yet.

i've tried installing straight disk, , copied version avoid "read-only" permission disk, in case causing issues.

additionally, in playing more, i've tried redo same thing did before, @ least seemed partially work, when try select executable file wine use, states indeed not executable file.

again, don't know lot this, or anything, have feeling issue complicated fact program has many individual files seem need put computer knows doing or more familiar stuff i. think there may 2 different applications on cd.

i've tried wine , winebottler osx avoid going thru parallels , ubuntu, has been more confusing far, , there doesn't seem support around it.

if helps at, software accessing , uploading information database, , below screen shot of of files on cd.

it's not critical work, appreciated.
