Thread: memory details


i have ssh access remote system.
need find out:
  1. the number of memory slots on motherboard.
  2. the number of used , available memory slots.
  3. the type of memory modules being used.

how can command line?

use this:
code:
sudo dmidecode --type 17
this output information each memory stick installed in system, including type.

however, i'm unsure how find out # of slots on motherboard via command line.
