Thread: why can't i reinstall using the same cd? creates another ubuntu rather than replacing

i've been using ubuntu secondary os close month , find great.
lately find after familiarization terminals, etc...
use fresh installation eliminate unused items might have downloaded.

when tried reinstall ubuntu cd, seems create partition apart current os's(ubuntu & win 7).

there way while reinstalling, overrides current ubuntu , making 1 instead of two?

thanks... (new ubuntu)

ok, thing have manually delete ubuntu partition that's installed. that's not simple sounds though because that's mbr (master boot record: thingie loads os's if weren't aware.) resides , if that's deleted... well, it's not good. follow tutorial (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=113630) delete partition ubuntu in without getting rid of mbr. after can reinstall content.

if have questions can pm me.
