Super administrator privileges but icons are gone - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi - several of have super admin privileges on joomla installed on friend's server , have few questions.
1 - when log in , select user manager shows name being logged in. dumb question, how know it's me if log in same login/pwd?
2 - i've been following tutorial , created section, category, article, used read more, able view, etc. today when logged in there no icons on control panel. i'm wondering if else went in , changed there other explanation?
3 - can see articles , able update, apply, , view yesterday can't because there no buttons.
4 - when creating article can see site, menu, content, etc., buttons not able click on them. way they're supposed or should clickable?

does have idea why i'm having these problems? install joomla on different server can maintain control on without dealing else have super admin privs. how space need install it?

login names (usernames) unique, if logs in same username/password combination, i'd assume details in username configured name and, maybe, email address, , sees info when logged in. can check in user manager, if have super-admin rights.

most certainly, mistakenly disabled "admin submenu" module. fix that, go "extensions" --> "module manager" --> administrator tab, find module (it might 14th in list) , enable it.
