Adobe reader opens multiple files instead of one
after loading adobe reader onto new laptop windows 7, has started open every pdf on hard drive have opened, when try open single file. annoying, opening 20 files @ once, not when click open file, when navigate folder on desktop contains pdfs. it.s freaking annoying , can not find solution froblem. can help? if cannot fix it, forced try find alternative program , adobe reader. have tried updating, works fine not fix problem, , uninstalling , reinstalling.
any thoughts?

i had problem in windows 7 too. unfortunately, windows 7 caused thousand other problems , took off of laptop.
i read disk cleanup can possibly resolve , removing history of opened documents might too.
right click start button , choose properties. under start menu (general tab) there's button clear history of opened programs , documents.
i never got try these because windows 7 screwed stuff on laptop got rid of before smashed (perfectly good) hardware in frustration.
