Thread: new harddrive stalls boot

i added 1tb hard drive new ubuntu 10.04 install. added line /etc/fstab

/dev/sda1 /media/tb ext4 defaults 0 0

did a:
sudo mount -a

drive showed up, df -h looked appropriate. great. after restart, failed boot properly. stalls during mountall , don't prompt. doing wrong?

thanks,
clay

also noteworthy not unmount once mounted. error when boot stalls:
/dev/sda1 not cleanly unmountsed, check forced
mount: /dev/sda1 mounted or /media/tb busy.
mountall: mount /media/tb [567] terminated status 32
mountall: filesystem not mounted: /media/tb

there few lines "codec 0 not valid"
