Pictures in the top bit of the page. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello all,
i using milky_way template, , have got grips aspects of joomla after month or of 'playing'. still not got email working yet, or managed make module work installed, come in time.

for wish ask - possible put pictures (images) on top part of page? bit newsflash articles go? think it's called 'user1' position.

i can make new piece of text, , make display there, pictures have embedded in code not display, know code images, newsflash displays ok, if click on it, ordinary article on front page.

the text displays, pictures not.

appreciate comments on might doing wrong, or want do, not done? thought top bit banners , such too?
