Thread: digital stereo sound not working
hi. i'm new ubuntu, , not well-versed in computer programming, etc., willing try new things. bought new laptop couple of weeks ago, toshiba t-135, , installed ubuntu 10.04. right away, sound worked , heard cool ubuntu drums. however, first glitch came when couldn't connect home wireless network, fixed following advice on these forums. next, realized needed install flash in firefox. no problem, got installed. i'm having mind-boggling sound problem. @ 1 point sound playing both through regular speakers , headphones @ same time, , muted sound while (was in library!) , turned on later, couldn't come on via speakers or headphones. after reading advice on these forums , trying different things didn't work, today realized if switch settings in sound preferences analog instead of digital, have sound. question now, how can have digital sound again?
in advance help. info:
