Is my project feasible ("smart" scoreboard)? - Raspberry Pi Forums

i need determining if project feasible using raspberry pi.

i’d build smart scoreboard our floor hockey league. used track score , basic stats. have in mind designing control panel (see here).
  • - pink buttons: general purpose buttons.
    - green buttons: controls team #1. 1st row of buttons selecting player scored. 2nd row selecting players assisted.
    - blue buttons: same green buttons team #2.
    - red button: "enter" button. needs pressed register goal , turn on siren!
    - score displayed on regular 21-inch monitor embedded in podium (something this).
    - stats should saved in file can retrieved , processed after game.
    - name tags: normal magnetic name tags.
tl;dr possible interface 37 led buttons , siren using raspberry pi? if so, require special hardware?

more info.

background league: teams randomly established @ beginning of game / 8 players per team./ no official scorekeeper or referee control panel has easy use who’s sitting on bench @ moment of goal / tried keep track of stats using online web app , cellphone it’s slow , not comfortable using smartphone.

background me: i'm software developer basic knowledge embedded systems / father retired electrician.

let me know if have questions. thanks!

i've been looking scorboard software basketball there's thing use called statcast , have seen java application on open source i'll have dig , if can refind i'll post couple of links.

oh , yes feasable. :)
