Creating a Stamp Annotation: what type of annotation to use?
hi!
i'm interested in using "rubber stamp" annotations mark pdf documents (construction drawings). i'm sorry if i've overlooked faq document or resource sample code (i have spent quite bit of time stamper.sln sample project visual studio, several others of plug-in sample projects).
what i'm out create variety of annotations this:
the idea smart icon. question is, how far can push pdannot text annotation, without having resort cos layer want? in particular, can create text annotation, either add items existing dictionary, or add new dictionary properties in it?
what i'm out do:
i'm trying mark construction drawings estimating , take-off. buildings designed these days lot of architects and/or engineers distributing plans , specifications pdf documents, rather traditional autocad dwg. @ present print out massive drawings, mark them markers, don't store enough information, , pray don't lose paper.
my goal allow user open pdf, create short list of stamp objects on toolbar (thus adding buttons toolbar dynamically), selecting button create persistent stamp, , stamping dozens (if not hundreds) of annotations across large (34" x 44") drawing. we'll tot how many annotations have of each type, , forth.
the big question:
can within scope of text annotation? (perhaps bit more elegant delimiters in long string?) or should suck , dive pdf reference fathom cos layer , custom annotation types?
are there available resources (web links, articles, workshops, etc.) can point me toward learn more?

let's painful stuf out of way...
are going have learn cos? yes! it's impossible serious pdf development without it.
now news...
do have create custom annotation? no! in fact, don't recommend unless have no other choice - , have many.
so do?
use 1 of myriad of other types of annotations - example, "stamp" type! that's acrobat creates when use stamp tool. can put want stamp annotation - text, images, etc. it's "mini-pdf" inside of stamp.
