Get session information without using joomla Framework - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello,

i'm developing auth plugin phpbb users in joomla database can access phpbb forum.

the problem need session information it's troublesome (i think not worthy) use joomla framework that. there other way ? think getting session id enough.

in other words (in case didn't explain myself well), how can create file show_session.php show joomla session information without using joomla framework

i know there other extensions but:
1.- extensions require php 5
2.- i'm doing @ moment use joomla users, not integrate phpbb inside joomla
