ok start off saying  iam complete , total newbie field.  have produced few small projects in premier , encore nothing advanced until now.   here have done   i using cs04 suite i have built premier project using avchd footage 2.5 hours long (roughly) i exported final project using ame h.264 import encore the files 16 gb in size   i trying import file asset encore build menus,  need create 2 images in encore, 1 dvd image , 1 blueray image.  trying dvd image @ time.  encore allows import, shows video in asset list hard drive has been running fool 3 hours now,  cant seem drag timeline, if right click  cant access transcode setting of file, system sluggish.  seems pre-transcoding see no progress bars anywhere.   is encore still importing file? am doing correctly? should break video smaller files? need create multiple premier projectes so? if wait long enough ok?   i have 6 days finish project... need !!! for dvd portion of pr...

very happy new distro of ubuntu. upgraded yesterday 9.10 10.4. in older distro monitor displayed proper resolution no issues. after upgrading, monitor stuck in "auto" resolution. have nvidia graphics driver installed , use control panel change settings. here happens. got system>admin>nvidia x server settings. select x server display config, highlight acer monitor, (named crt-0) change resolution 1360x768 , click apply. when monitor goes "auto config" mode , on , on , over. have set auto make stop. "auto" resolution looks garbage on widescreen , want use 1360x768 res. on how monitor display res without auto config repeat happening. try opening terminal , typing: code: sudo nvidia-xconfig the above command create new /etc/x11/xorg.conf, once command has finished, reboot, , should able set resolution want. may have run nvidia-settings rot make new settings stick...

hey guys, badly in need of here. i've sort of worked out problem after late night of screwing around (kind of linux noob here) lacking knowledge on how fix it. so, short of it: tried install ubuntu dual-boot on windows xp machine, using usb stick trial os , automatic installation. screw-up came when left external usb hard drive plugged in during install, , far can tell, ubuntu installed on opposed internal hd. when try boot, knocked straight grub rescue prompt error message shows "no such device (my external's id)" -- assuming mbr (which know nothing editing) trying boot off external isn't enabled until os starts up, , dumping me @ rescue prompt when can't find it. can still load trial ubuntu off original usb stick (though can't online without wireless drivers), that's functional computer gets right now. , don't have windows setup cd anywhere (using rooommate's mac @ moment terrible european keyboard on it). there way ed...

i have managed different backgrounds on cube (well, triangle). started having problems everything, , managed fix of it. think happened checked on effect in ccsm interfered other settings messed up. had start over. increased number of workspaces 4 make cube, , added whole bunch of wallpapers in ccsm>desktop cube>appearance>image files had 5 wallpaper images previous tinkerings. increased amount of workspaces four. problem 1: cube showing first 3 had triangle. moved other wallpapers up, , despite others taking place, still ones showing on cube. problem 2: 1 of cube sides not zoom out cube when click down on mouse button reel on desktop. have use key bindings, work half time. feel have yell @ (yes, hitting keys) work. happens desktop wallpaper repeating first.
