The Hideous Lack of Help I received trying to resolve Creative Suite Problems
rarely, in many years i've been techie have been outraged , disgusted vendor today adobe. i've been loyal customer decades. had simple problem - repair software license problem. laptop malfunctioned , replaced, cloned hard drive new machine. trying run cs3 software produced "product license no longer works" message. understood, software didn't recognize new machine. but, have original software, original serial numbers, etc. should easy problem fix - call tech service them direct me file/s need delete, serial number , i'd in business. sure! might have speculated have been successful french kissing king cobra success means i'd still alive after passion.
this process has been , still nightmare. firstly, had endure profound incompetence dealing english speaking people didn't understand english , whom had provide passport number! no, not plain definition of words problem, understanding concepts. then, drowned in murky waters of neophytes read responses cheat sheet recommendations solutions page not problem had. well, have trick. instead of fighting challenged workers, call surely you'll tech service person more adept. asked north america presuming communication not problem. customer service agreed send me such tech service person. when phone answered, however, realized once again i'd traveled 9,000 miles. ok, make best of thought. need software working. i've got projects complete. now, 4 pm in afternoon - booh, i'll have work night. new tech service person gave me web address follow these 8 steps , problem solved. clearly, through no webcam running tech service person saw emblazoned on forehead word "fool" admit it, fool! thought following 8 steps work.
i methodically tried every step - deleted files, ran repair permissions, , on , on. nothing worked! so, resigned complete uninstall , reinstall recourse (step 8) did so. now, midnight (it didn't take me long time machine entire computer) half way through reinstall. 1:15 install complete. surely, problem solved right? no fool!! restart computer if must alas, same dumb message after work! cannot remember last time profane language seemed appropriate tool expression! sad part, know in gut there hidden file needs deleted can work.
