curious know how ubuntu know when non-valid dns server selected? or when invalid gateway used? part of ubuntu notifies of this?

huh?, dns servers used you have put in system, same goes gateway settings.

reason have dns server list if 1 not respond, system falls on next 1 in list. don't know ubuntu multiple gateways.

if have them wrong in first place, system won't work.
