Thread: USB DVB device (Hauppauge NOVA-T-USB 2)


ubuntu thinks it's identified , has installed drivers. it's not working... not light on front. , gratefully received.




ubuntu 10.04 64bit upto date.
hauppauge nova-t-usb 2

check see if firmware being loaded unplugging it, plugging in & form terminal run

you should see lines this... if not check firmware in correct place per links below.

- usb 5-2: usb disconnect, address 3  - usb 5-2: new high speed usb device using ehci_hcd , address 8  - dvb-usb: found 'hanftek umt-010 dvb-t usb2.0' in cold state, try load firmware  - dvb-usb: downloading firmware file 'dvb-usb-umt-010-02.fw' 'cypress fx2'  - dvb-usb: hanftek umt-010 dvb-t usb2.0 initialized , connected.  - usb 5-2: usb disconnect, address 8  - dvb-usb: generic dvb-usb module deinitialized , disconnected.
what application testing ?
used kaffeine when tried nova t usb stick, worked well.
