Thread: Clearing Evolution's mailbox search index

hello,

on system running 10.04 , evolution 2.28.3, searching in evolution's inbox returns no results, while search of 'sent' folder works fine.

i'm guessing because index inbox folder has become corrupted.

based on advice i've read elsewhere, after shutting down evolution command 'evolution --force-shutdown' i've tried deleting following files....

~/.evolution/mail/local/inbox.ibex.index

~/.evolution/mail/local/inbox.ibex.index.data

~/.evolution/mail/local/folders.db

...but hasn't made difference. evolution recreates files on start-up, symptoms remain same.

what's best way clear evolution's index , force rebuilt?
