How to do Multiple digital signatures?

i have created form in acrobat 9 pro multiple digital signatures. approval form emailed "up chain of command".  have enabled extended features in adobe reader users without acrobat 9 can digitally sign form.  created form , did certified signature.  emailed typical user filled in form , emailed boss digital signature.  boss digitally signed , emailed cfo.  cfo not have acrobat 9.  when gets it, gets error message "this document enabled extended features in adobe reader.  document has been changed since created , use of extended features no longer available.  please contact author original version of document."  how correct this?

hi,

any chance check see if signed form earlier version of acrobat. 1 thing right mouse click on signature field , select show signature properties pop-up menu. last line of text see on signature properties dialog tell version.

the reason ask bit convoluted. when reader rights first introduced, concept reader needed check see if pdf file rights enabled. reason acrobat users had of functionality being extended reader users there no sense in checking. problem turned out if acrobat user did file outside of reader permission set, broke reader rights. of course, acrobat user didn't know problem wouldn't manifest until file opened again in reader. beginning acrobat 8, if file reader enabled, acrobat users restricted form doing operations do, in acrobat have option "save copy" can create new file without reader rights when opened unlocks of acrobat's functionality.

if turns out using acrobat 7 or earlier sign with, or using third party signature tool, have ask them download free reader , use sign particular file.

thanks,

steve
