Placing an image, how do I preserve the percentage scale?

i'm placing lot of adobe illustrator cs4 (ai)  indesign (cs4) using apple+d rectangular frames.

 

i copy , paste 1 rectangular frame place new vector image new frame

 

thats fine. problem each time place, size of placed vector image changes size. each time new image placed percentage size changes. i'd love know how preserve percentage size previous rectangular frame copied , pasted from?

 

many in advance.

preferences > file handling... preserve image dimensions when relinking (off)
