TCS 2 on Windows 7 - "Licensing for this product has stopped working"
i spent last 6 days (since 4/8) adobe technical support. have dell latitude 630 laptop running windows 7 32-bit. no reason @ (as case), rh8 crashed after ran spell check. unfortunately, unlike other times, not restart. error message box kept getting (and 4 says later still getting) "licensing product has stopped working". thing i've learned 4-day ordeal no 1 @ adobe technical support knows how uninstall , reinstall product. and, reason, adobe has released software aware not uninstall using windows 7's uninstaller - must run both windows uninstaller cleaner (after downloading & installing it) , own cs3 uninstaller cleaner.
after doing twice (completely uininstalling , reinstalling), , waiting 1) first tech open case - took him 4 days; , 2) "top level" of support contact me - took 2 more days. after telling me how uninstall suite (yep, that's fix, too), has advised me sw won't run because computer on domain. yes, company requires of our computers connected our domain. company doesn't?what interesting none of co-workers, running windows 7, have had problem. how many of using tcs2 on windows 7 32-bit , on domain? i'll bet there lot of out there. congratulations still being able so! envy you.
the fix: (and adobe's top level of support, or told.) i've been told must create local user account on laptop has admin privileges not on domain, , install tcs2 software onto account. fix problem. interestingly, first tech had me log onto adobe software allowed him see desktop. didn't see on domain? or maybe isn't privy information because he's not high enough.
i hope information keeps @ least 1 other person having go thru 6 (or less or more) days of repeating problem countless adobe techs tell exact, same thing. and, of course, hearing each 1 apologize "the inconvenience" , being "so sorry experiencing difficulties".
here thought - don't release software until works.
here's thought - don't claim software works on platform until does. co-worker ed says, "got issue? tissue!"
cheers,
