Old versions of Adobe apps remain after upgrade to TCS2
i upgraded tcs2. apparently older versions of robohelp, framemaker, acrobat & perhaps others still installed on computer. should i, or can i, uninstall these older versions, or should delete shortcuts them desktop , hope best?
thanks.
john,
the older version of fm ok keep around , co-exists peacefully newer fm9 in tcs2. however, having multiple versions of acrobat going mess things you. don't know robohelp, suspect should go well.
you're in bit of clean up. i'd recommend uninstalling both tcs versions (tcs2 first) , cleaning out left on acrobat bits using appropriate cs clean scripts (see http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html , http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403995.html acrobat 9 or http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html acrobat 8). note: if have of adobe creative suite components installed, scripts shouldn't remove items.
on systems clean environment, may need use microsoft software installer clean-up utility msicuu.exe. see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
note: please make sure de-activate licenses components before uninstalling.
