How do I delete multiple rows and columns in an image?
i looking how digital slrs extract video data cmos sensor. give example, gh1 panasonic can record video @ 1920 x 1080 12 mpixel sensor that, say, 4000 horizontal x 3000 vertical. how seems not in public domain, there have been few guesses (see http://www.dvxuser.com/v6/showthread.php?t=206797 , http://luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=38713).
one approach read every second row of sensor pixels (1500 rows read original 3000) , once have in memory, delete every second column (2000 columns left). end 2000 x 1500 image resampled 1920 x 1080.
i'd simulate camera appears doing, generating 4000 x 3000 test image , asking photoshop cs4 delete appropriate rows , columns. may not every second row; canon 5dmk11 appears read every third row, may need delete 2 out of every 3 rows.
can photoshop sort of thing? if so, how?
doesn’t image – image size set resample using nearest neighbor anyway (if proper percentages set)?
but may not have happens in camera sensor-pixels register 1 of 3 colors each, far know.
