red hat reported gaap earnings of 12 cents, 20% 10 cents reported in first quarter 2010. year-over-year growth driven strong organic revenue growth based on robust bookings , backlog, higher subscription renewals , strong results services business.

customer signings in quarter increased company signed 11 deals out of top 30 valued @ more $1.0 million. red hat earned more $5.0 million single deal. besides, company signed largest ever contract, multiyear, middleware deal worth several million dollars.
