How to stop cpInfo Percentage from cumulative scoring on quiz retake?

greetings. have slide contains advanced action not functioning correctly. slide appears directly after clicking continue button on quiz results screen. upon slide enter, advanced action checks if cpinfopercentage less cpquizinfoquizpasspercent , shows either fail text caption or pass text caption. there button jumps start of project if user chooses review module (and thereby able retake quiz). note button not retake button on standard quiz results screen.

 

the problem if quiz score 50% on first attempt, , 50% on second attempt, pass text caption shows, instead of fail text caption. while standard quiz results screen shows correct score , pass/fail message, following screen performs advanced action acting if user has passed when in fact have failed twice in row. believe because cpinfopercentage adding quiz results second retry.  way, there no lms interaction going on (yet).

 

is there way reset variable,  or?? successful way stop cumulative scoring variable use retake quiz button? note retake button appears on quiz results page disappears if choose review quiz first.

i able reproduce issue spent 10 hrs. , not find solution.  @ first, thought had set cpinfopercentage zero, it's much more complex since cpinfopercentage calculated number based on other variables maxscore , score... of there's bug.  see post.  tried accessing variable through 3 different classes , not report score properly.  i'd report bug if have not already.
