Thread: How about NFS


alright far has been limited, have tried samba , iscsi neither topic has gotten me figure can try nfs.
far have attempted set nfs on ubuntu 9 , running wall.
here steps have done far:
sudo apt-get install nfs-kernel-server
sudo nano /etc/exports
added line "/home/user/desktop/debian 192.168.20.43(rw,no_root_squash,async)"
sudo /etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server restart
sudo exportfs -a
head on windows 7 (192.168.20.43) box , install nfs services , run following command:
mount \\odin9:/home/user/desktop/debian *
, network error - 53 (the network path not found)
yes can ping odin9

@ end of day, want share on ubuntu accessible windows 7 network...been working on 2 weeks no avail.
