Thread: HP pavilion dv7 sound stopped working

hi installed ubuntu (wubi) month ago. worked , made things work better windows couldn't (like scroller on mousepad). anyway, today sound stopped working. went windows os , worked fine, stopped working on ubuntu. hear snare drums @ intro of ubuntu (login screen), audio light on touch thing starts blink red , , forth between white. , can't hear after that.. here's information:

i have similar problem, hp pavilion dv7 no sound. worked in karmic upgraded lucid , went out. appreciated.
