Background Audio causing Publishing error
version
adobe captivate 4
output type
flash swf/htm
my large captivate file publishes when background audio unedited stock audio. however, when using mp3 file of compiled stock audio, edited in garage band , saved mp3, captivate not publish.
upon importing file; captivate converts mp3 wav, imports wav file.
when publishing file (now prefaced clip); captivate converts wav mp3, when 'writing swf file tags stream' error 'your computer not have sufficient memory resources compress swf file' occurs.
when replace background audio original, unedited file, again publishes know audio file problem. i'm hoping can instruct me how better save audio file, or suggest more captivate-friendly audio editing program use in compilation process. captivate allows import 1 audio file looping , want use several audio clips viewers don't fall asleep in 70 minute demo.
any assistance or advice appreciated. thanks!
hi there
does "garage band" have ability create wav format pcm encoded? if so, try producing format.
it understanding when import audio converted whatever format in (mp3 or wav) opposite format. once advised engineer on captivate development team if bring in mp3, though captivate transcodes wav, leaves mp3 , ends in output mp3 file. couple of versions , things may have changed. seems afoot here.
have tried turning off form of compression , attempting publish after doing so? turn off compression, click edit > preferences > project > swf size , quality.
give go , see how fare... rick
