Thread: slower performance with compiz effects enabled

i love compiz fusion seems when scroll , down, example, while viewing websites video choppy , sluggish. when disable compiz effects things faster. have hp laptop 6730s core 2 duo p8400 2.26ghz cpu, 2.5 gb ram, , ati hd3430 video card. slowness normal? wouldn't expect slow video on machine these specs. there can speed compiz on? don't have off. past many months have tolerated slow scrolling.
