Thread: ATI multiple Monitors


hey guys,

know there quite few threads on subject, haven't found on how setup multiple monitors on ubuntu 10.04 ati card. dont want have clone setup have right now, rather different desktop on 2 screens. example have 4 different desktops , find extremely useful if have programs run on 1 screen while else on other.

hope can me. can find name of card in signature.

back existing xorg.conf , generate new one:

sudo mv /etc/x11/xorg.conf /etc/x11/xorg.conf.bak sudo aticonfig --initial -f --set-pcs-str="ddx,enablerandr12,false"
log out restart x server. if goes wrong, press ctrl+alt+f1 ge t terminal (or boot recovery mode) , restore old xorg.conf.
code:
sudo mv /etc/x11/xorg.conf.bak /etc/x11/xorg.conf
