Thread: External screen not working with DELL docking station
hi,
have laptop dell e6500 running ubuntu 10.04, video card nvidia quadro nvs160m. @ work laptop attached docking station, , docking station external dell alienware 23" connected using dvi port.
until last week able plug laptop docking station , work extenal screen. 1 week ago accepted update of video drivers , since not anymore able use external monitor.
can see bios screen , after command line on external screen, once graphic card set external screen switch on economy mode , should open laptop see login screen.
have installed latest version of nvidia drivers (nvidia-linux-x86-195.36.31-pkg1.run) wasn't able me solve problem. tried solution:http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-inst...ucid-lynx.html didn't helped me.
