Text to Speech reading cut off

in of text-to-speech entries, last word in "reading" cut short. example, instead of "discombobulated," voice read "discombobula" , drop abruptly.

i have tried using both voices, re-doing text-to-speech entry on slide , re-installing captivate , text-to-speech engine, no improvement.

i'm using captivate 4, runing elevated privelages on windows 7 64 bit.

any ideas how fix this?
