Is my hall effect sensor working?


hi!
i have couple of these linear hall effect sensors ah49e.
i followed http://www.arduino.cc/playground/code/halleffect

the magnets using grinder , refrigerator (sitting on door hold pictures).
is magnets week? cuz don't notice big changes, e.g. can't north-pool show up.
