Thread: Ubuntu Folder Accessed by Windows Laptop


my main system running ubuntu 9.10 , network runs through desktop.

have windows xp laptop , able access folder , make changes on ubuntu machine. possible?

in advance.

i'm running debian , have entry on toolbar menu:

system-->administration-->shared folders

in ubuntu should same, i'm not sure.

display message me: "you need install @ least either samba or nfs in order share folders."

should install samba or nfs. have 1 of them installed?

can't test cause haven't windows machine, think should work you.

if don't find menu entry, type shares-admin in root shell.
