Printing to AdobePDF stops responding
hi everyone,
i've searched , down guidance on problem , have found lot of questions on forums, not lot of resolutions (for case in particular).
our graphics department creates lot of pdfs based off of powerpoint , quark files. 6 times/day adobe pdf printer locks , stops responding. need reboot in order working again.
their acrobat distiller log shows following error:
acrobat distiller 9.3
started: thursday, april 15, 2010 @ 10:17:14
adobe postscript software version: 3018.101
cid support library initialization completed.
adobe pdf settings file read error in pdfx4 2008.joboptions:
/checkcompliance out of range
i've seen several other forum discussions particular error, , says change distiller option standard opposed pdfx4 2008. well, in our case distiller set custom joboptions file set higher resolutions. similar "high quality printing" setting. had our users try high quality printing setting, , still experience same problem.
i've checked windows event logs , not see relevant events correspond times these jobs failing.
this occuring on freshly loaded workstations running windows 7 (64-bit) adobe cs 4.
i'm going try repair acrobat installation during lunch hour today, hoping provide alternative guidance well.
thanks reading!

try print file. open file in distiller see if either pdf or error more useful. if works, check acrotray running.
