Thread: Harddrive used size inconsistent

just formated new western digital black 1tb. realized 14gb result of journaling (correctly me if i'm wrong). however, gparted says it's right size when goto properties it's 46.8 gb. i'm missing here?
have "you not owner cannot change permissions" on harddrive.
let me know if left info out me solve this.
